Chimamanda Adichie shuts down French interviewer who asked A Very Ridiculous Question About Nigeria

World-renowned Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie was in Paris on Thursday, Jan 25 for the 2018 edition of the ‘Night Of Ideas’ (Nuit Des Idees). During the event, an interviewer asked Chimamanda if Nigerians read her books and when she replied in the affirmative, the interviewer asked another question that was so ignorant, to say the least. “Do they have libraries in Nigeria?” the interviewer asked. Chimamanda replied: “I think it reflects poorly on France that you asked that question.”

Chimamanda Adichie calls out Delta Airlines over treatment of Nigerian customers

Famous author,Chimamanda Adichie was not happy about Delta Airlines’ policy which requires that Nigerian flights passengers physically present themselves and their credit card after purchasing flight tickets online or over the phone as such is not required for Delta flights in other countries  She wrote; “DEAR DELTA AIRLINES, YOU MUST DO BETTER Seven years ago, I sent this letter to Delta Airlines. Delta Airlines Nigeria Policy: A Complaint On April 20, 2010 I bought two Lagos-Baltimore return tickets on delta.com for my parents. I paid for the tickets with my credit card. They were scheduled to leave Lagos on June 3 2010 and return on November 1 2010. They arrived the United States as scheduled, with no incident. A few weeks later, our family plans changed. Chiwetel Ejiofor,Thandie Newton For Screen Adaption of Chimamanda adichie's Novel 'Half of a yellow sun'

      Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie 's novel 'Half of a yellow Sun" will be turned to a movie soon. Sources including Screendaily.com report that Actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, actress Thandie Newton and dominic cooper have signed on to star in the upcoming screen adaptation.    The filming is scheduled to begin in March and  will be shot in Nigeria,to be directed by Biyi Bandele .  Screen Daily also reports that "UK producers  Andrea Calderwood ( The Last King of Scotland )  and  Gail Egan ( The Constant Gardener )  have recently secured crucial private equity backing from Nigeria in order to move the anticipated project forward.
