Chimamanda Adichie shuts down French interviewer who asked A Very Ridiculous Question About Nigeria

World-renowned Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie was in Paris on Thursday, Jan 25 for the 2018 edition of the ‘Night Of Ideas’ (Nuit Des Idees). During the event, an interviewer asked Chimamanda if Nigerians read her books and when she replied in the affirmative, the interviewer asked another question that was so ignorant, to say the least.

“Do they have libraries in Nigeria?” the interviewer asked.

Chimamanda replied: “I think it reflects poorly on France that you asked that question.”
