Miss rhode Island Olivia culpo wins Miss USA 2012 20-year-old miss Rhode Island Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss USA 2012 sunday night and will represent the United States in this year's Miss Universe pageant. Olivia Culpo topped a field of 51 contestants on Sunday to take the title at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Culpo is a 2010 graduate of St. Mary Academy Bay View, an all-girls Catholic school in Riverside, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.She is currently a Boston University sophomore and will take a year off from her studies to tackle her duties as Miss USA and represent the nation in the 61st Miss Universe contest in December.
