-----------I was a victim of set-up     Ace comedian, Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, has described himself as a victim of a conspiracy by faceless individuals who were envious of his exploits in his chosen profession.    Baba Suwe gave the verdict on Sunday during a press conference addressed by his lawyers led by Mr Bamidele Aturu. Reflecting on the event at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja shortly before his arrest on October 12, 2011 by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the renowned comedian said that he was only told to enter an office to meet with the NDLEA men. “As soon as I arrived at the airport, a woman sitting at the counter just asked me to go inside one room where the NDLEA officials were. As soon as I entered the room, they arrested me. Nobody told me my offence even when I demanded”, he said.         He was chained in the legs like a common criminal. They asked him to lie down, they wanted to beat him, but common sense prevailed.

How NDLEA pumped water into my anus to make me excrete – Baba Suwe

------Baba suwe has temporarily relocated to Kano to hibernate Nollywood comic actor, Baba suwe was freed yesterday following Justice Yetunde Idowu's intervention and ordering the NDLEA to release him on bail. When Baba suwe  was explaining his ordeal to the justice , He mentioned how NDLEA officials took him to an undisclosed hospital     He says; The day after I was granted bail (Wednesday), they just came at about 9 am and took me to a hospital in Victoria Island. When we got to the hospital, they put something in my mouth and another in my anus. “They now pumped water into my anus. After they pumped water into my anus I started defecating. “I defecated again several times on getting to their office.”     His testimony was corroborated by an official of the NDLEA said to be part of the team that took him to the hospital. The official, who was called out by Justice Idowu, said the tests were ordered by an assistant commander in the agency and were conducted in one of NDL

Baba suwe's ingested drugs might be forced to remove if he doesn't excrete -NDLEA

   Popular Nollywood comic actor, Baba suwe is still with the NDLEA and he is yet to excrete the narcotic drugs believed to be in his body after the court ordered the NDLEA to keep him for another 15 days starting from october 21.     An official of the agency, who spoke with an online publication yesterday , explained that the agency might seek the courts permission to subject Baba Suwe to further tests to remove the ingested drugs by insertion instead of further waiting for the actor to excrete the drugs. A situation which he said might result into dire consequences for him.   A Federal High Court last friday granted the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, permission to hold Nollywood comedian Baba Suwe, for 15 more days. Justice Okechukwu Okeke approved  it and made the order after entertaining arguments on an  application brought by the NDLEA through its lawyer, Mr. Theresa Asuquo           The application which was supported by a 29-paragraph affidavit sworn to by an NDLEA "Intelligence Officer",Mr. Femi-Johnson Osifuye, and attested CT scan result issued by a consultant radiologist with the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Dr Subhash Vijayvargiya. The result, according to the forensic analysis conducted by the doctor which NDLEA confirmed in its affidavit, "shows" that Baba Suwe "has large amount of narcotic drugs in his body."    Baba suwe will remain with the NDLEA for the next 11 days .It was also  disclosed that baba suwe has refused to eat claiming he eats once in three days .
