    Contraband took the top slot at the weekend box office. The Universal action drama featuring Mark Wahlberg took in $24 million to place first at the weekend box office  . The 3-D version of “Beauty and the Beast” by Disney took the second slot with $18.5 million while Tom Cruise's  Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” was at the third place with $11.5 million.      Tom Cruise 's mission Impossisble 4 :Ghost protocol   remains impossible to beat at the box office. Box office chart  places " Mission: Impossible  Ghost Protocol" in the No. 1 spot for the second-straight weekend with $31.3 million  which makes the  worldwide total to $134.1M. Robert Downey Jr.'s " Sherlock holmes : a game of shadows " from Warner Bros., finished second again with $22.1 million, raising its worldiwde total to $132.1 million.    The 20th Century Fox family sequel " Alvin and the chipmunks " is still at No. 3 with $18.3 million to lift its haul to $94.6 million.
