         Katy Perry got into the holiday spirit this year with a fun Easter ensemble! The “Roar” singer and  American Idol  judge, 35  who is expecting with fiancé Orlando Bloom — shared a sweet photo to Instagram on Sunday, showing off her growing baby bump while posing in a white and pink bunny onesie. Perry’s festive post came a little over a week after she revealed that she was having a baby girl, posting the message alongside a photo of Bloom’s face covered in a pink-hued buttercream frosting.     The singer first shared the news that she was pregnant on March 5, cradling her baby belly in the music video for her song, “Never Worn White.

Pop singer Katy Perry will host the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) in August, MTV said on Thursday, and will also perform and compete for some top awards.       The hosting gig will kick off a busy 12 months for Perry, who embarks on a world tour in September and will be a judge in 2018 on the new version of television talent show "American Idol." Perry, who released her latest album, "Witness," in June, is the most followed person on Twitter, with more than 100 million followers.     Her big-budget video "Chained to the Rhythm" will compete in four categories at the VMA show, but she was snubbed in nominations for the top two categories of video of the year, and artist of the year.

  Russell Brand was taken into custody by New Orleans police on Thursday and booked for simple criminal damage after a photographer accused the British comedian and actor of grabbing his iPhone and tossing it through a window, authorities said.   Bail was set at $5,000 for Brand, said New Orleans police spokesman Officer Garry Flot. Brand was released shortly after his arrest, according to the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office.       TMZ posted photos of "Get Him to the Greek" star Brand, in a dark jacket and torn jeans pulling an iPhone from a man in a car. Another photo on the site shows a broken window through which Brand was said to have thrown the phone.    The paparazzi photographer filed a police report over the incident, which happened on Monday.    But Brand defended himself with an ironic comment on his Twitter page on Wednesday.
