   Los Angeles Superior Court judge Michael Pastor has  turned down Dr. Conrad Murray's request to be released until his involuntary manslaughter conviction appeal is heard.He said Murray  must stay in jail pending his appeal because he might flee if allowed out on bail.    Murray, 59, began serving a four-year jail term in November last year after being convicted by a jury of the involuntary manslaughter of the "Thriller" singer.    Murray, who was not in court for Friday's hearing, had asked for bail , house arrest or electronic monitoring pending his appeal, which he said could take more than a year to be heard.

       Michael Jackson’s  Doctor conrad Murray  has been officially suspended from practicing medicine, his license has been terminated and his privilege to write prescriptions terminated.     The Medical Board of California is giving Dr. Conrad Murray 15 days  to turnover his medical certificate, a requirements  to practice medicine in the state of california. If a doctor is convicted of a felony or sent to prison for a crime ,it is a normal procedure to terminate his ability to be a licensed and certified Doctor.

    Michael Jackson's doctor on Tuesday asked for a publicly-funded lawyer to handle his appeal on a manslaughter conviction in the pop star's death, saying he could not afford to pay for one himself.     Dr. Conrad Murray, serving a four-year jail term for the involuntary manslaughter of Jackson in 2009, filed papers with Los Angeles Superior Court saying he was unable to fund his legal help any longer. "The defendant is indigent and respectfully requests the appointment of counsel on appeal," the court papers said. Murray said he wished to appeal both his conviction and his sentence but so far has not filed formal papers with the California appeals court. The 58-year-old cardiologist had hired two lawyers for his six-week trial, but he was convicted in November of involuntary manslaughter, or gross negligence, after admitting he gave the "Thriller" singer nightly doses of the surgical anesthetic propofol to help Jackson sleep.    The doctor sentenced to four years behind bars for causing  Micheal jackson 's death has filed a notice that he intends to appeal  the conviction .    Conrad Murray signed a one-page document that was filed in Los angeles on Friday seeking all records and transcripts from the case. The filing does not indicate the basis on which  Murray  will argue to overturn his conviction or sentence.    The 58-year-old was sentenced Tuesday to four years in jail for his involuntary manslaughter conviction, but the term will be automatically cut in half.    Murray's challenge will be heard by a state appeals court in Los Angeles, assuming he files an opening brief at a later date.       A judge on Monday rejected a request for additional tests on a bottle of the anesthetic propofol deemed responsible for Michael Jackson's death.   Attorneys for Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted on November 1 of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of the singer, asked for tests on the vial of propofol that was found in Jackson's bedroom on the morning he died.    But judge Michael Pastor said Murray's defense team had months to ask for the tests and should have done so during the six week trial. Jackson, 50, was ruled to have died on June 25, 2009 from a propofol overdose and a combination of sedatives.
