Adele wins 2012 grammys         A lawsuit filed against the Recording Academy over its decision to trim the Grammy Award categories from 109 to 78 has been dismissed by a judge in New York.       The motion last week by New York State Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Oing granted the Academy's motion to reject a lawsuit brought by Grammy-nominated jazz musician Bobby Sanabria and three others.       Sanabria had been the loudest opponent of the Academy's decision last year to reduce its categories and fold some genres into larger fields.    Academy President and CEO Neil Portnow says he's gratified by the court's decision. In his lawsuit, Sanabria accused the Academy of not following the proper procedures to implement the changes, and demanded that the best  Latin jazz category  be reinstated, saying the removal had a detrimental effect on the musicians' careers by taking away the Latin jazz category specifically.    Sanabria on Sunday held out the possib

Cissy and whitney     Cissy Houston ,the mother of the late R&B superstar Whitney houston is getting ready to release a tell-all book about daughter. New York times reports  Cissy met with publishers in New York this week to shop a book about her daughter,    Affectionately calling her daughter “Nippy,” her childhood nickname, and appearing emotionally and physically drained, Ms. Houston met with publishers in a suite at the St. Regis Hotel.   Ms. Houston, 78, described the book as the real and definitive story of her daughter, the pop legend who died on Feb. 11 in Beverly Hills at the age of 48.    Talking about the book proposal to publishers, Ms. Houston seemed eager to set straight what she called “lies” about her daughter that have circulated in public discussion about her. “She said, ‘ There are so many lies out there and I want to dispel all of those lies, ’” one publishing executive said.“ It’s going to be the bad, it’s going to be the good ,” .   The book

   In the early hours of Saturday, April 28, 2012, Mr. 2Kay and his music band were involved in a car accident on their way back from the “Iyanya VS Mr. 2kay and friends” show that held at the University of Port Harcourt.   The bus conveying the Port Harcourt based singer and his band that consists of his dancers, backup singer and his manager summersaulted six times before it came to a final stop.   Spokesperson for Grafton Records revealed that no one died in the accident although they all sustained severe injuries. Mr. 2Kay sustained a deep cut on his left arm and lost a lot of blood but is stable and receiving treatment at an undisclosed Hospital in Port Harcourt.    Mr. 2Kay released his debut album in March 2012 and his music is getting massive airplay in the South.
