Katty perry and rusell brand     A judge has finally granted pop-star Katy Perry and actor-comedian  Russell Brand  a  divorce.       Superior Court Judge Marc Marmaro  signed the judgment Wednesday, less than six weeks after Brand filed for divorce and one day after Perry filed paperwork stating that she and Brand have agreed on all financial issues.      Brand, Perry and Marmaro all signed the judgment Wednesday, court records show. The couple will become legally single again on July 14 because California law requires that couples wait at least six months after filing before their divorce can be finalized.      The judgment calls for Perry's maiden name,  Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson , to be restored. Neither Brand, a British actor and comedian, or Perry, a pop superstar, indicated in court filings when they separated.    Rusell brand filed for divorce  last december  after citing irrecocilable differences .  The couple got  married in October 2010 in a lavish wedding at a resort

     The actor,comedian Russell Brand has filed for divorce from singer/ songwriter  Katy Perry .The couple got married on october 23,2010 in india and people have been speculating that they may be divorced soon.          According to TMZ   Russell   filed court documents in Los Angeles today citing 'irreconcilable differences,'  and has released a statement, claiming, " Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends ."     Katy has not been wearing her wedding ring for a while and also Rusell . They have no kids together.

    American singer/songwriter , Katty perry has been named MTV's Artiste of 2011 .Her   run of No. 1 singles has earned her the distinction of becoming  MTV 's first artist of the year.  Katty Perry topped  Adele  after a spirited discussion among MTV's internal panel of experts, the network said Thursday. Adele's " Rolling in the Deep " was chosen top song of 2011.Runners-up were  Nicki Minaj 's "Super Bass" and Rihanna's "We Found Love." Perry's achievement of tying Michael Jackson's "Bad" as the only albums to yield five No. 1 singles was particularly impressive. Along with the title cut, "California Gurls," ''E.T.," ''Firework" and "Last Friday Night" (T.G.I.F.) all topped the charts.
