Statue unveiled in memory of Amy Winehouse

   It has been three years since embattled pop star Amy Winehouse passed at the age of 27. Yesterday,the singer would have been 31 years if she was alive.Her parents Mitch and Janis. Have unveiled a Amy Winehouse statue in London to honor her memory.  The late singer Amy has been honored on what would have been her 31st birthday with a life-size statue in her beloved Camden Town neighborhood of north London.   Winehouse would still be remembered by many fans as the statue is portrayed sporting her distinctive beehive hairdo.   Winehouse's father Mitch said Sunday it was "incredibly emotional" to see the statue. "It is like stopping her in a beautiful moment in time," he said. "We really hope Amy's fans love the statue." Winehouse died three years ago after battling drug and alcohol abuse. Amy Winehouse' Camden House Where She Died Put On Sale By Family

   The home where british singer Amy jade Winehouse lived and died is being sold  .Her family  has put the late singer's  London  home up for sale for $4.2 million.    The three-bedroom property in the Camden neighborhood of northwest London   had become a shrine of sorts for mourning fans who left flowers and tributes following Winehouse's death on  July 23,2011 .    Chris Goodman, a spokesman for the Winehouse family, said Thursday that the singer had loved the house and her family put it on the market because they felt it would be inappropriate for any of them to live there.    "It was not practical to keep it empty while paying the costs of its upkeep," he said in a statement, adding that the family had reached the decision with "great regret."   The 2,500 square-foot home features three bedrooms  including an "impressive master suite with vaulted ceiling"  three living rooms and private front and rear gardens overlooking the ton

Amy Winehouse' Family to get her $4.66 Million Fortune

    Late British singer Amy Winehouse ' Probate documents  showed Wednesday that she left behind assets totaling more than 4.25 million pounds ($6.7 million), with 2.94 million pounds ($4.66 million) remaining after debts and taxes.     The record shows Winehouse did not leave a will,therefore the money will go to her parents. The documents list father  Mitch winehouse  as administrator of the singer's estate. Nothing goes to her ex-husband,  Blake Fielder-Civil , whom she divorced in 2009.      Winehouse shot to fame with her 2006 album "Back to Black," but struggled for years with drug and alcohol abuse. An inquest found she died of accidental alcohol poisoning. The 27-year-old soul diva was found dead in bed on July 23 at her London home.

Amy Winehouse's Post Humous Album Debuts at No 5 on Billboard ,Tops Uk chart

    Amy Winehouse 's posthumous album " Lioness: Hidden Treasures ," which was released last monday enters the Billboard chart at No. 5 with 114,000 , the late singer's highest-debuting album ever.     She's only once previously visited the top 10, with her 2007 set "Back to Black." It initially debuted at No. 7, on its way to an eventual No. 2 peak following her multiple wins at the 2008 Grammy Awards ceremony.  The album has also topped the Uk album chart       Amy's  Producers, Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson had compiled the 12 songs on the album after listening to thousands of hours of vocals by the singer, many of them from sessions for her hit albums 'Frank' and 'Back To Black'.

Amy Winehouse's Back to Black dress sold for £43,200 at auction

     The dress that  Amy Winehouse  wore on the front cover of her  'Back To Black'  album has been sold for £43,200 at an auction in London.     The  BBC  reports that the printed chiffon dress, which was made by fashion designer  Disaya Sorakraikitikul , was purchased by the Chilean fashion museum Museo de la Moda at La Galleria yesterday (November 29) for more than twice the  £20,000 it was expected to fetch .       Sorakraikitikul donated the proceeds of the sale to the  Amy Winehouse Foundation , the charity set up by the late singer's family in July to honour her memory. Winehouse's father Mitch said he was "over the moon" that the designer, Disaya, donated the proceeds to a foundation set up in her memory. The 27-year-old singer was found dead at her flat in Camden in July.

Record label to release Amy winehouse's post humous album december 5

     Island Records, part of Universal Music, will release a posthumous album of Amy Winehouse's songs on December 5. "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" will feature 12 tracks including previously unreleased recordings, alternative versions of existing classics and new Winehouse compositions, a statement on her website said on Monday. The record has been put together by producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, who worked with the British singer before she died in July aged 27. "It was said by all who worked with Amy that she never sang or played a song the same way twice," the statement read. "It quickly became apparent to Salaam and Mark that they had a collection of songs that deserved to be heard, a collection of songs that were a fitting testament to Amy the artist and, as importantly, Amy their friend." Amy Winehouse's father to release daughter's life experiences in new book

  Harper collins  announced Monday that Mitch Winehouse who is late Amy winehouse's father has agreed to terms with the publisher in the U.S. and Britain for the release of "Amy, My Daughter." HarperCollins says the book will come out in summer 2012.    The publisher says Mitch Winehouse will write about everything from his daughter's childhood to her singing career to her well-publicized struggles with substance abuse. Amy Winehouse died in July at age 27.   Financial terms were not disclosed. Proceeds from the book will be donated to the Amy winehouse foundation, which was founded by her father and helps troubled children and young adults.
