Ex-Nigerian Striker Rashidi Yekini Buried [Photos]

Rashidi yekini (Oct 23 1963 -May 4,2012)        Ex-Nigerian striker rashidi yekini was buried this morning  in Ira, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State  according to muslim rights  .        The former african footballer of the year passed away yesterday in ibadan at the age of 48 due to what his close associates called depression. Rashidi was said to have been living a solitary life after retiring from football .At the burial which was attended by top officials,oyo and osun state Government donated N1M each to his family.   The former Super Eagles top striker was survived by aged mother , three wives and three children. Former Nigerian Footballer Rashidi Yekini is Dead

     Former Nigerian striker Rashidi Yekini   is dead. Rashidi who played for super eagles of Nigerian within early and late 90s died today May 4,2012 in ibadan.He was 48.Rashidi was born october 23, 1963 in kaduna.He scored Nigeria's first goal in a FIFA world cup and won African footballer of the year title in 1993 .  He  scored 37 goals in 58 appearances for Nigeria. Rashidi had been reportedly sick for a while.   May his soul R.I.P!!!!
