Music Legend, Akon has revealed he has finalized the agreement on building Akon City in Senegal. He tweeted, " Just finalized the agreement for AKON CITY in Senegal. Looking forward to hosting you there in the future" The city will have a airport, solar power, hotels, restaurants, schools, hospitals and the official currency, Akoin.

  Akon  has moved from conquering the charts to building what has been dubbed his very own 'Wakanda.'  Between setting up his own cryptocurrency AKoin and vowing to bring electricity to 600 million people in Africa, Akon has been quietly building his own 'futuristic' city in Senegal named after himself.  He announced the news last June that he was working on building a “100% crypto-based city” and building is now officially under way, as he announced on Nick Cannon’s radio show Power 106 Los Angeles that construction has started.    Senegalese  hip hop star, Akon, is definitely breaking new grounds on the continent of his birth.    Akon was with the president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta  who was in the United States last week and we have heard the news that the songwriter will be visiting Kenya in September.     The singer whose intention is to provide many African homes with electricity made the Kenya announcement on his Instagram account, accompanied with a photo he took with Uhuru in US.    In the words of Akon:'Visiting President Kenyatta of Kenya. He has great visions for Kenya and we shall be there in September to discuss how to make those visions come to life.'

    These are not good times for Senegalese hip hop star,Akon.The singer's automobile might be taken away from him if he does not complete the two hundred and fifty thousand dollars payment on the white 2010 white luxury vehicle.        According to the singer,thirty seven payments has been made already but it is not enough to cover the lease for the car which is three hundred and sixty thousand dollars.Akon is reportedly worth eighty million dollars,huge part of his fortune comes from his music business deals and his numerous tours. Hopefully,our beloved Akon will pay up and be free from debt.We would love to see him cruise the ride,probably in a video.

    Senegalese-American Music star Akon  is facing lawsuit again . He is being sued this time by lawyers he hired last year  .     According to the lawsuit  filed in Georgia,Akon hired a bunch of lawyers last year at a firm called Yoss, then refused to pay them $39, 363.74 for legal services which involved civil/business matters. Now, they've responded by suing him for breach of contracts .   Akon filed his own response in the suit and is asking  a judge to dismiss the case.He  was recently sued  by a construction company .

snapshot of youtube analytics      P Square 's Chop my Money video which features senegalese-American star Akon and labelmate May D has become the most viewed Nigerian video (Music and Movie) within a week on youtube .     According to Youtube analytics and insight that celebregion has been monitoring since the video dropped , Chop my money has been receiving an average of 4,600 views / Hour .     The video was uploaded five days ago(Feb.23,2012),less than a week and has received  556,736 Views as at the time of filing this report which has never happened to any nigerian music or movie video before .    Music enthusiasts predicted it may get to a million views within a week.       The video which was featured on major nigerian music and entertainment websites immediately it dropped also appeared on few US-based websites.  Congrats to P Square !!!

   Senegalese -American star Akon has been sued for $51,000 for not paying his construction bill.     TMZ reports that a local contracting  company southern Electric filed a lawsuit againt him in Georgia Superior court claming it completed over $344,000 of work on Akon's Georgia Mansion but he has refused to pay the balance of $51,941 on their final invoice.  After contacting Akon's Mum who was in charge of the project last november ,Southern Electric is  s uing for breach of contract for the amount allegedly owed, plus interest.

     Senegalese -American R&B singer /producer  Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam, better known as   Akon  has been the the subject of few controversies lately , the first is the online death hoax  and  the latest  is the report of signing Nigerian music stars , Tuface , Wizkid , and P square to his konvict Music Label.    Tuface  denied signing any record deal with Akon few days ago which gave birth  to a question " Is Akon afraid to sign any African artiste to his label" .   Though Akon has produced many successful  artistes including lady gaga who was signed to Konvict/Redone /Interscope , T-Pain also signed to Konvict Music,Kardinal offishall ,brick& lace and many more but when it comes to African talented artistes , it becomes a joke.      Akon reportedly signed Faze three years ago but when faze was asked during a TV interview last week about the deal , he said "When he (Akon) tried ...
