Cardi B's Coronavirus Rant Remix Debuts on BillBoard Charts

Coronavirus is sweeping the globe and the charts. Cardi B’s pandemic-inspired collaboration with Brooklyn DJ iMarkkeyz has made its official debut on the Billboard charts. “Coronavirus,” which pulls from Cardi’s viral Instagram video, enters at No. 9 on Billboard’s Rap Digital Song Sales and No. 13 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales charts. According to Billboard, the remixed “Coronavirus” received 626,000 U.S. on-demand streams and sold 3,000 copies in the week ending March 19. “Coronavirus” was inspired by Cardi’s rant on March 10 about the COVID-19 pandemic, which has over 25 million views. iMarkeeyz, who has become well-known for remixing videos and memes, repackaged Cardi’s “Corona-VIRUS!” and “Sh*t is getting real” catchphrases over a club-ready beat, adding coughing sound effects. The rant even spawned an EDM remix from DJ Snake. Cardi and iMarkeeyz have announced plans to donate the “Coronavirus” proceeds to assist with relief efforts. ...

Jay-Z's '4:44' finally makes it to Billboard 200 chart at No. 1

  Jay-Z's new confessional and political release, "4:44," finally entered the Billboard 200 album chart, storming to the top spot and scoring his 14th No. 1 release.       The rapper and producer sold 262,000 units of "4:44," according to data from Nielsen SoundScan on Monday, to earn the fourth-highest one-week album sales total of 2017.       The album, on which Jay-Z admits cheating on his wife Beyonce and addresses the birth last month of their twins, was released on June 30 as a one-week exclusive to members of his streaming platform Tidal and customers of wireless carrier Sprint Corp.    Despite being certified platinum in its first week, "4:44" was absent from last week's Billboard 200 album chart because Tidal did not report numbers to Nielsen Music.

Nicki MinaJ sets BillBoard and Itunes Record With Anaconda

    American rapper Nicki Minaj has set new record on billboard and Itunes, thanks to her new single Anaconda. The Queens femcee has become the first woman to have a number-one solo single on the iTunes chart, including her feature on Jessie J and Ariana Grande's "Bang Bang," Nicki is also the first female rapper to have two singles in the top two spots on iTunes simultaneously. Nicki was also tied with Michael Jackson with 50 hot 100 entries on Billboard and currently tied with Rod's stewart's on No.51.

Usher Debuts At No.1 On BillBoard For The Fourth Time

      Usher  has secured  his fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart as " Looking 4 Myself" debuts atop the list with 128,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan.     The pop/R&B star's last full-length studio album, 2010's "Raymond v Raymond," also launched at No. 1, but with bigger sales. It started with 329,000. "Looking" also registers Usher's smallest first-week sales for a regular studio album since 1997's "My Way" bowed with 67,000.     The new album was ushered in by its lead single "Climax," which is in its ninth straight week at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song

Adele's '21' Conquers Three Debut Albums To Regain No 1. On BillBoard

     British singer Adele regained her place at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart for the 24th time on Wednesday with her Grammy-winning album "21," holding off new entries from Alan Jackson, The Beach Boys and Neil Young.       Adele's "21" sold 75,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan figures in its 68th week on the chartbuoyed by NBC's special "Adele Live in London," which aired on June 3.         The "Someone Like You" singer beat out debuts from three veterans of the music industry.Country crooner Alan Jackson debuted at No. 2 with his latest studio album "Thirty Miles West," selling 73,000 copies.       The Beach Boys made their highest debut since 1974, as their 29th studio album "That's Why God Made The Radio" entered at No. 3, selling 61,000 copies in its first week of release and kicking off the band's 50th anniversary celebration.      Canadian singer-songwr...

Taylor swift   Taylor swift   is No. 1 again: The singer is the top act on BillBoard's Top 40 Money Makers" list.    Swift earned $36 million in 2011, according to the Billboard list released Friday.U2 was second with $32 million. Kenny chesney , lady gaga , and lil wayne  rounded out the top 5.      Artists' rankings were based on U.S. income sources from tours, albums sales and publishing royalties. Billboard said in a press release that it didn't factor in "sponsorships, merchandise sales or synchronization deals."     Adele was tenth on the list. Though she canceled most of her U.S. tour due to issues with her vocal cords, her album "21" sold more than 5 million units in 2011. Including sales from this year, "21" has sold nearly 8 million copies.      Justin bieber and Kanye west were 35th and 39th with  $5.5M and  $5.4M respectively.

      Legendary pop singer Tony Bennett achieves his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with "Duets II," making the 85-year old the oldest living act to reach No. 1.
