Adele wins 12 BillBoard Awards     British singer   Adele was the biggest winner at 2012 Billboard Music Awards that took place May 20,2012 in Las Vegas ,taking home twelve trophies off the strength of her Grammy-winning album  21  and singles such as the chart-topping "Rolling in the Deep."     LMFAO were the second top winners, grabbing six honors, with their "Party Rock Anthem" garnering five nods.        Late music icon , Whitney Houston will be honored posthumously with the Billboard Millennium Award in a tribute performed by Jordin Sparks and John Legend at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas .     Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and sister-in-law, Pat Houston, will make a special appearance to accept the award in her honor.     The tribute is a fitting role for singer/actress Sparks, who plays Houston's daughter in the upcoming remake of the film "Sparkle," which hits theaters in August.      Houston, who died Feb. 11 at age 48, holds the distinction of being the first artist ever to have seven consecutive No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 and over the course of her career notched four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, including "The Bodyguard" soundtrack.      Her biggest hit, "I Will Always Love You," spent 14 weeks atop the charts in 1993.      She earned 16 Billboard Music Awards, and has sold 170 million co

      Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Linkin Park and Nelly Furtado have joined the growing list of superstar performers set to dazzle the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, which airs live May 20 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET from the MGM Grand Arena.   Previously announced performers include  Justin Bieber ,  Carrie Underwood ,  LMFAO  and ceelo green.    Adele takes the lead as a finalist in 18 award categories , while LMFAO is a finalist in 17 categories. Rihanna lands in 13 categories this year, after leading the pack with 18 category appearances in 2011. Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne each snagged a spot in 10 categories.

Justin bieber receives Top Digital Media Artist Award in 2011      The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will  hold May 20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.   The BBMAs will air live on ABC in partnership with Chevrolet and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, and are being co-executive produced by Richard Beckman and Don Mischer.      The awards will reflect Billboard's chart rankings based on key fan interactions with music, including album sales and downloads, track downloads, radio airplay and touring as well as streaming and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Vevo, Youtube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music.       The awards will be based on the reporting period of March 1, 2011 through February 29, 2012. Top artists will be recognized in a variety of genres, including R&B, Rap, Pop, Country, Rock, Latin and Alternative.  Performers and presenters will be announced soon.
