      Nollywood stars Uche jombo and Van vicker were detained by police on friday May 4,2012 . The stars were on the set of  a movie at a police station when policemen  from bode thomas police station came to arrest them. Uche tweeted few minutes after the arrest  " So we are at d bode thomas police station watching this whole * police location drama play out!  # iWeepForNigeria".     It was later revealed by the police  that the stars were arrested for their bad portrayal of nigerian police in their movies .  Both  movie stars have since been released after passing through few processes. Van Vicker was detained by lagos state security service few weeks ago for carrying stage guns without permission .

Van vicker     Ghallywood-Nollywood actor Van Vicker has refuted rumours going round that he was arrested last weekend by the state security service in Lagos for alleged possession of arms .   Van narrated the incident to Hitz FM ghana " “ I need to really get it clear that I was not arrested,” what i did was to purchase some stage blank gun props from the US which were to be  delivered to me in Nigeria because i was there at that time" .   He continued , " a few minutes after boarding a flight bound for Ghana with the gun props following due security checks at the airport" , he was asked by some officers to come down and identify his bags. "I was told that there was need for State Security Service (SSS) to approve of the props. My trip was then declined by the senior officers so i had to stay for the declaration on the guns and also a cross-check to establish they were just stage guns".    He said he was in the offices of the SSS for a long time.

                                          David Oyelowo,Van Vicker and Jimmy Jean Louis       Nigerian-British actor David Oyelowo ,Nollywood-Ghallywood actor Van vicker and Haitan actor Jimmy Jean Louis will receive achievement awards at the 20th edition of PAN African Film Festival in Los Angeles.  The event will take place on friday ,February 10,2012 at the Rave Cinemas Baldwin Hills,Baldwin hills Crenshaw Plaza , Los Angeles .     David Oyelowo whose movie credits include Boxoffice hit The Help,The rise of the planet of the apes and recently released Red Tails (also starred American singer Neyo) will receive Canada Lee Rising star Actor award, Van vicker who is referred to as one of africa's hottest movie stars will receive ' The Africa Channel creative achievement Award ', while Jimmy Jean Louis will receive The Africa channel Diasporan Award.    Other recipients are hollywood actress Meagan Good for Beach Richards rising star actress award ,and Rwanda's Eric

     Actor cum producer Van Vicker will in no time prove to Ghanaian musicians that he is capable of singing as he is currently working towards releasing a 12-track album.    According to a  NEWS-ONE  source, he was recording with Lynx Entertainment and had so far recorded a number of songs.     “The album will be a collection of different genres of music including Pop, Afro pop and Hip Life. He is not sure how he will call the album yet. But all will depend on the final product,” the source said.     The music is being recorded at a time when there are a lot of media reports about him, especially on his alleged brawl with actress Tonto Dike .      It is most likely his lyrical content will highlight some of his experiences with the media and also clarify issues on how he wants it to be.  Van just wrapped up the shoot of his latest movie.     Ghanaian star actor Van vicker has revealed that he is set to produce and direct his first movie titled distance.He disclosed in an interview his intentions and plans.

     T his is a new nigerian movie titled The land  starring Van vicker and other actors ,produced by insurmountable filmworks.

Popular Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker recently launched the Van Vicker Foundation, which seeks to support the nation’s youth development drive.
