Whitney Houston's body taken home to NJ for Weekend Funeral

        Whitney Houston 's body  has been  flown home to New Jersey late Monday for a funeral to be held this weekend, said two people who have spoken with her family.    Houston's family raised the possibility of holding a wake Thursday and funeral Friday at Newark's Prudential Center, an arena that hosts college and professional sport events and seats about 18,000 people.     Funeral arrangements were being made by Newark's Whigham Funeral Home, which handled the 2003 funeral of Houston's father, John Houston, according to the two people who spoke to the AP.    However,A coroner's official says some  prescription medicines  were found in the hotel room where Whitney Houston  died but not in large quantities.     Houston's body was released to the family late Monday morning. Etta James Funeral Plans Announced,Al Sharpton to Eulogize

 Singer Etta james funeral plans have been released .A  public viewing  will be held Friday for singer  Etta James , and the Rev.  Al Sharpton  will eulogize the late legend at a  private funeral  Saturday.    A statement from Sharpton's representative Tuesday said the funeral will include performances by celebrities, but those names were not announced. James died last Friday at age 73 after battling leukemia and other ailments, including dementia. She was most famous for her classic "At Last," but over her decades-long career, she became revered for her passionate singing voice.    The public viewing will be held in Inglewood and the funeral will be held in Gardena, both in the Los Angeles area. The family is asking that any donations be sent to the Philadelphia-based Rhythm & Blues Foundation. AP

Funeral Arrangements for The guardian publisher,Dr. Alex Ibru announced

    Funeral arrangements for Dr. Alex Uruemu Ibru, Founder, Chairman and Publisher of The Guardian Newspapers Limited, who died on Sunday, November 20, in Lagos, has been announced by the Ibru family.   In a statement by Olorogun Oskar Ibru on behalf of the Ibru family, the funeral events will hold in Lagos State and Delta State. The events will begin with a Service of Songs on Wednesday, December 14, in Lagos.       This will be followed on Thursday by a Commen-dation Service. Events in Lagos will be rounded off on same day with a lying-in-state at Rutam House, headquarters of Guardian Newspapers Limited, from where the body will depart for the airport en-route Agbarha-Otor in Delta State. The programme continues on Friday with a Service of Songs at the Ibru Centre, Agbarha-Otor. On Saturday, December 17, there will be a lying-in-state at the Ibru Centre, followed by the funeral at the All Saints Cathedral, Ughelli. Interment at the Ibru Centre follows immediately after.
