Radio host and long-time stand-up comedian Steve Harvey has announced on his syndicated “Steve Harvey Morning Show” that he plans to retire from doing stand-up in 2012 According to eur Web , Harvey broke the news to listeners after reading an e-mail from a fan who said they had heard rumors that he was leaving his radio show. “This is my Jamaican background,” Harvey joked, according to EUR Web . “I don’t quit no job. No, sir. That's not me.” Harvey explained that his last stand-up performance will be at next year's Hoodie Awards. The past year has been a good one for steve, his best-selling novel “ Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” went into film production in July for an April 2012 release . The film's star-studded lineup includes Taraji P. Henson, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart and Michael Ealy. Harvey also has plans to premiere his own daytime talk show on NBC.
