        Didier Drogba has offered his Laurent Pokou hospital to the fight against coronavirus in his country.  Four persons have died in the COVID-19 outbreak in Ivory Coast out of 533 cases.     The hospital the football legend has offered is in Abidjan, the commercial capital.  The head of the city’s regional council, Vincent Toh Bi thanked Drogba for the gesture.    “We thank Drogba for this gift considered as an act of patriotism,” Toh Bi said.The centre, located in the Attecoube district, is not yet in a working state. However, it can be used in a period of crisis.

 Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba has joined the likes of Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba in denouncing the remarks of two French medical practitioners who said on television the vaccine that could be effective in treating coronavirus should first be tested in Africa.      Professors Jean-Paul Mira and Camille Locht made the assertions on French TV channel LCI, and this did not go down well with the likes of Eto'o and Ba, who considered the comments racist. Drogba joined in and hit out at the medical practitioners in a series of tweets calling African leaders to protect the continent's image.    “It is inconceivable that we continue to accept this. Africa is not a laboratory," the 42-year-old said. "I strongly denounce these serious, racist and contemptuous remarks!

At the official launching of the school, Drogba explained how his foundation commenced the project two years ago, and he is proud that the project has been completed.       Chelsea FC star and Ivorian National team captain ,Didier drogba is planning  to build a 4.2 million dollar hospital in Abidjan.     Drogba's manager thierno seydi  was in Cote d’Ivoire to conclude agreements with the Ivorian authority on the building of the hospital . he explains to journalist   “I am in Abidjan as part of visit for the Foundation of Didier Drogba,” he said. “In a few weeks, we will officially launch the foundation for the construction of a hospital. And we think, it’s the best way for Drogba to give back to the society.” the private hospital would start off with 100 beds and it would be cited in Attecoube in Abidjan.   Didier Drogba is expected in Abidjan by the end of the month
