Segun Demuren hands So fly a cash prize of 300,000       It was to a cheering audience that the judges of Jay’s Search 2011 (Chairman of Punch Newspapers Wole Aboderin, EME boss Segun Demuren, Producer and Rapper eLDee and singer Segun Obe)  announced So Fly winner of the second edition of Jay’s Search at Oriental Hotel Lekki on December 16, 2011. 23 year old Ormali Daniel, a graduate of the Nnamdi Azikwe University Akwa battled nine others for the grand prize of 300,000,  a Kopykats Entertainment recording deal for one single, one music video, a makeover/photo shoot, airplay, promotions and publicity, and was announced winner after two rounds of performance. Eight Finalists Unveiled for Jay's Talent Hunt Prize

Finalists and the judges       In preparation for the grand finale scheduled for December 16, 2011, organizers of Jay’s Search 2011 took time off their busy schedule to audition 20 contestants on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Protea Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.    The judges Segun Obe, Wunmi Obe, Tunde Obe, Folusho Olateju Leigh, Dewale Adenmosun and Angela Emuwa had a filled day screening talents who came out from the nooks and crannies of Nigeria before they eventually made a decision to pick eight people. “I can assure you that we got more than we bargained for”  Wunmi Obe, Jaiye Aboderin’s elder sister says “ infact the initial plan was to pick six people, but we just couldn’t bear to see these talents waste, hence we have eight finalists”    Kaduna based Daniel Oramali and 13 year old Awoyemi Tolulope will join Akanji Abiodun, Olusola Lasisi, Aiyegbusi Tolu, Ilori Alaba, Odemonke Bassey and Temitayo Ogunbusola to slug it out for the grand prize ...

Talent Hunt show ,Jay's search Kicks off in december

   The exciting and entertaining Talent hunt show Put together by the Aboderin family in honor of their late brother Jaiye Aboderin- Jay’s Search will kick off in a matter of days! Jay Search is a bi-annual music talent search dedicated to the memory of late Jaiye Aboderin (1971-2004), who died  December 3 rd  2004 after he slumped during a casual game of basketball with friends.     In a statement released this week, the committee says “ All is now set for this year’s Jay Search. Online auditions ended on Monday November 14, 2011, and we are finally set for the live auditions. jaiye aboderin     The exciting and entertaining Talent hunt show,  Jay’s Search  is back with the second edition which kicks off in a matter of days. Put together by the Aboderin family in honor of their late brother  Jaiye Aboderin , This year’s edition of  Jay Search  promises to be bigger and better than the last season as there are a series of activities planned out for the contestants and music fans. To make things easy, organizers have divided this year’s audition into two stages – The  Online  stage and the  live  stage.
