  She's  baaack !  Alicia Keys  is officially hosting the 2020 Grammys.  After   wowing the crowd   during last year's Grammy Awards, the singer-songwriter will emcee the star-studded ceremony for a second time.  "At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host," Keys said in a statement,   per  The Hollywood Reporter . "Last year was such a powerful experience for me. Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world, and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music." The 2020 Grammys take place on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Nominees will be announced on Nov. 20.

      American R&B singer-songwriter Alicia Keys has been confirmed to honour late music legend Etta James at this year Grammy awards.     The 14 Time Grammy winner will team with blue icon Bonnie Raitt for a tribute at the 54th Annual Grammys on feb.12 .     It has also been confirmed that  Current GRAMMY nominee Chris Brown , nominees Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood , who will perform together have been added to the lineup for the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards.    This will be Chris brown's first Grammy performance since he assaulted Pop star Rihanna in 2009. The award will hold at staples center in Los angeles , hosted by rapper LL COOL J 

   The Grammy-winning singer  visited the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan yesterday and donate music instruments to its students. K eys says her alma mater is underfunded and oversubscribed, “and I hope to make this better for them.” She also launched an online contest where people can share how they would use $1,000 “to make the world a better place.” It is part of the global campaign, “World of Betters.”     The contest begins Tuesday and ends Dec. 15.   World of Betters” also features african  rapper/singer K’Naan, who will host an event in Johannesburg.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys fired up the Yankee Stadium crowd before Game 2 of the World Series on Thursday night, performing a clean version of "Empire State of Mind" from the rapper's hit album. The two New Yorkers were originally scheduled to perform Wednesday night but were pushed back because of rainy weather.
