Actors Guild Of Nigeria Election Holds Friday

Segun Arinze (AGN president)       Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN )Election has been scheduled for Friday April 27 & 28 ,2012.The election was to take place in ekiti state march 17 before it was postponed again.The new venue is yet to be revealed and it has caused controversies among the AGN members. The election had been shifted three times in the past .      Emeka Rollas, Ibinabo fibresima and steve eboh   are vying for the Guild's top position and the winner will be in charge of AGN for the next three years.

Stella Damasus Steps Down as Actors Guild Of Nigeria Election Postponed

    Nollywood star actress ,stella damasus who was planning to contest for the post of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN)Public Relations officer has stepped down .   Her publicist confirmed the development  to PM news  “Yes, Stella is no longer contesting for reasons she would like keep to herself. But she is still a member of AGN and will continue to support the guild in her capacity. She recently enrolled some members of the guild for free training at her arts academy, and that will be a continuous effort from her, whether she is an AGN executive or not, ” the publicist stated.    The AGN election which was supposed to hold march 17 in Ekiti has now been postponed to April 27 and 28 ,2012.   Emeka Rollas, Ibinabo fibresima and steve eboh are vying for the Guild's top position .The venue for the election will soon be disclosed.

Emeke Rollas ,stella damasus, Ibinebo fiberesima fight for AGN executive positions

    The battle for the presidency of actors’ apex body, Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and other elective positions  of the guild has begun and lead actors and actresses have shown their interests in holding the positions.     According to Saturday Vanguard ,Foremost among the candidates vying for the guild’s top  position is actor Emeka Rollas, the incumbent Secretary-General of the guild, and the man who contested against the former  president, Ejike Asiegbu.     Another key contestant is ex-beauty queen and president of the Miss Earth beauty pageant, Ibinabo Fiberesima who has signified her intention to battle with her male colleagues for the presidency.       Other candidates wishing to vie for electives positions of the guild are Stella Damasus who according  to our source, is contesting for the office of the Public Relations Officer(PRO), Mr Yakubu Abubakar,  incumbent PRO of the guild who is gunning for the post of the Secretary-Genera. Nollywood to honour Ifeanyi Dike for successful kidney transplant in India

                                                          Ifeanyi dike's new healthy look      Actors Guild of Nigeria( AGN) chairman  Board of trustees , Ifeanyi Dike travelled to faraway India three months ago to undergo a kidney transplant.       He returned to  Nigeria last week after a successful kidney transplant in india. Ifeanyi upon disembarking from the aircraft went straight to the Church for prayers and blessings before heading to the prestigious Hallie Selassie Hotel, Aguda, Surulere, where members of the guild held a brief reception in his honour.     To give “Thanks to God” for delivering one of their own from the claws of death, the Lagos State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, plans an elaborate dinner night in his honour.     According to Lagos AGN chairman ,Emeka Rising ,date for the dinner night will be announced soon. © celebregion

Actors guild bans emeka ike

The Chairman, Board of Trustees [BOT] of AGN, Prince Ifeanyi Dike, claimed that making the decision was inevitable as Emeka’s alleged misconduct and anti-guild activities are becoming unbearable. “The actors in Nigeria have unanimously decided to suspend Emeka Ike indefinitely for anti-guild activities. We have also stripped him as the Vice President, South East of the guild. Let me use this medium to state that the move to suspend him was not made by the Board of Trustees, but AGN members who have been monitoring his anti-guild activities for some time now.
