    Tom Cruise  who recently separated from wife katie holmes led Forbes' annual list of the 100 highest paid actors earning nearly twice that of second place Leonardo DiCaprio and recapturing his spot among Hollywood's top-earning performers after his recent blockbuster movie "Mission: Impossible.     Cruise who celebrates his 50th  birthday on  tuesday (July 3,2012) earned $75 million between May 2011 and May 2012, making him the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.       Last year's top earner Leonardo DiCaprio tied for second place on the list with funnyman Adam Sandler,  both with $37 million.         DiCaprio's earnings dropped after his 2010 "Inception," grossed $825 million at the global box office while his last film, "J. " Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest." she said.       Cruise, 49, got married to actress Holmes, 33, in an Italian castle on November 18, 2006 at a ceremony of about 150 people. They have daughter Suri who is 6 is 6 years old  .        In november 2011 ,the couple celebrated their five years of marriage  with close family and friends in attendance .This was Holmes's first marriage and the third for Cruise, who previously was married to the actresses Nicole Kidman, with whom he has two children, and Mimi Rogers.

Tom Cruise(R)              Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise received the Friars Club Entertainment Icon Award in New York last night (12.06.12).       The 'Rock of Ages' star became  the fourth person ever to be presented with the award  following in the footsteps of Hollywood legends Douglas Fairbanks, Cary Grant and Frank Sinatra at the Friars Foundation Gala at the Waldorf-Astoria.     Alec Baldwin hosted the ceremony while friends and former co-stars including Cuba Gooding Jr. and Kevin Pollak paid tribute to the star.      Tom attended the ceremony with his son Connor and daughter Sur.   The Friars Club was founded in 1904 and along with providing a haven for some of the industry's most noteworthy figures.

After their first date, which was enjoying sushi on Cruise’s private plane, the two were smitten.
