       R. Kelly's first attempt to get out of jai l due to coronavirus fears didn't work, but he's going back to the well, claiming his medical crisis is even worse now, and insisting he won't skip town. The disgraced singer filed a renewed emergency motion asking to get released from lockup based on changed circumstances.  The judge denied his first release request earlier this month, saying the singer failed to explain how he wasn't still a flight risk.    Kelly claims if he tried to run he would be "the most obvious and recognizable person on the streets of Chicago, or anywhere else in the country, in light of the severe stay-at-home restrictions." According to the docs ... he'd also agree to 24/7 surveillance and GPS monitoring to make sure he doesn't go anywhere other than home or meet with anyone other than his lawyers. The judge is yet to make a decision.

       Singer R. Kelly, already facing sexual abuse charges brought by Illinois prosecutors, was arrested in Chicago Thursday on a federal grand jury indictment listing 13 counts including sex crimes and obstruction of justice. U.S. Attorney’s office spokesman Joseph Fitzpatrick said the R&B singer was taken into custody about 7 p.m. local time and was being held by federal authorities. He was arrested after the federal indictment was handed down earlier Thursday in federal court for the Northern District of Illinois. “The counts include child porn, enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice,” Fitzpatrick said, adding that further details would be released Friday. The arrest was the second time this year that Kelly has been taken into custody in Chicago on sex charges. The 52-year-old Grammy winner,   was arrested in February  on 10 counts in Illinois involving four women, three of whom were minors when the alleged abuse occurred. He pleaded not guilty to those

  R&B singer R Kelly has denied allegations that he is holding several young women in an "abusive cult". The singer's lawyer said he would work "diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name". A BuzzFeed report accuses the singer of brainwashing women, who got closer to him in an effort to boost their musical careers. One of the women said she was "not being brainwashed". Kelly denies any wrongdoing. He has faced previous accusations of sexual misconduct, but was never found guilty. The report, which quoted three unnamed sets of parents, said they had not seen or spoken with their daughters for months, and that the women, all of them over the age of consent, had their routines controlled by the singer. That included rules about what they could eat and wear, when to bath and sleep and how to engage in sexual encounters recorded by him, they said.
