Janet Jackson To Produce Documentary On Transgender People

   American singe r  Janet Jackson has signed on as an executive producer of a documentary on the lives of transgender people living around the world.     New York-based Brainchild Films announced  that Jackson was working on "Truth" and would do some of the on-camera interviews. The documentary begins production this summer and will focus on the lives and struggles of transgender persons. Jackson writes in a statement that she is working on the project to try to stop discrimination of the transgender community.     "Truth" will be directed by Robert Jason and will feature stories from throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Latin America.

Dagrin's Documentary 'Remembering Dagrin' Set To Be Released

Dagrin and Gini      This April marks the second year anniversary of Dagrin ’s death and to commemorate this, Gini the director of his only solo video, pon pon pon, is set to release an authoritative and informative documentary of the young rapper’s life.     The clip is over an hour long and combines both known and never-before-seen clips and images of Dagrin. It contains interviews with most of the persons that crossed the path of the young man and contributed to his rise to fame in the Nigerian music industry. It is a real time presentation that paints a perfect HD picture with excellent voice narration and sequencing.    The documentary seeks to further promote the works of the late rapper and act as a reference point for upcoming acts. Bob Marley Documentary Set For Release April 20

    Magnolia Pictures has set the not-so-surprising release date of April 20 for the documentary  Marley.        The two hour, 24-minute film will be accompanied with a disc that contains concert footage of four songs previously unseen, a 20-minute interview with  Bunny Wailer , an interview with  Stephen Marley  that did not make it into the film and 20 minutes of people all around the world speaking about Marley and his music.     The film will be released theatrically, digitally and through video on demand simultaneously; a two-CD and three-LP soundtrack will be released April 17. There is no release date yet for the DVD.   Ziggy marley confirmed it "This film is not hearsay," Ziggy notes. "This is the real stuff here."

Micheal Jackson biopic in the works

    Initial plans for a film about the life of the late  Michael Jackson   are apparently underway, according to reports.     Different sources have revealed that the singer’s estate is currently in talks with Hollywood producers concerning a biopic about  Jackson , though it is thought that if a film is made, it will only cover certain periods in his life.     Montecito Picture Company also  confirmed that they are currently negotiating a deal with  Jackson ’s estate.      This follows the news that a previously unseen  Michael Jackson  documentary is set to be auctioned in London later this month. The film, which features footage of the singer's ‘Dangerous' world tour in 1993 filmed in Argentina, was given to  Fame Bureau  auctioneers by Jackson's chauffeur and has been given a reserve price of £4 million, although it is expected to sell for a higher amount. 

Tupac Documentary Begins filming in november
