   The Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo has raised the maximum fine violations of state-mandated social distancing rules from $500 to $1000. He announced in a tweet.

Cuomo, 49, is the younger brother of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has been leading his state’s charge to combat the spread of the coronavirus.        In his statement, the younger Cuomo shared that he’d been “exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive.” He added that he also had a “fever, chills and shortness of breath” and was quarantining in his basement to avoid exposing his family.
