Post-Humous Birthday : Google celebrates Stephen Keshi

   Google, on Tuesday created a doodle of the late former Nigeria coach, Stephen Keshi, on its search engine page. The gesture is to celebrate the football icon who would have been 56 today. Google said the doodle was to recognise the legacy of the former coach Super Eagles captain who died on June 7, 2016, at 54. Mr. Keshi born on 23 January 1962 was a world-acclaimed soccer icon who first played football before going into coaching and made a success of both. As a manager, Keshi achieved success by qualifying Togo for the only FIFA World Cup appearance in its history in 2006.

Pele rushed to hospital, read why

Football Legend, Pele had an event hosted for him by The Football Writers Association (FWA) at the Savoy hotel on Sunday. But the event was later cancelled as it was said that the 77-year-old would not be able to make it to London. Read the statement of the FWA: 'In the early hours of Thursday morning, Pele collapsed and was taken to hospital in Brazil where he has undergone a series of tests which appear to point to severe exhaustion,' 'He remains on fluids while doctors monitor his recovery. Thankfully, there is no suggestion of anything more serious than exhaustion.' Pele who's widely regarded as the greatest football player of all time won three World Cups with Brazil.
