Twitter launched the v erified accounts program in june 2009 to allow celebrities, musicians, athletes, actors, public officials and public agencies on the service display a “verified account” button on their twitter pages. With this feature, one can easily see if an account is real or not. Recently, D'banj claimed his account was hacked after few tweets were went out to his followers .He now joins the likes of Soul singers Asa and nneka who are also using verified twitter accounts.
