    Nollywood star actress, Monalisa chinda has been appointed an ambassador for  Vita500, a new energy drink from South Korea, currently in circulation in Nigeria and some West African countries.  She was reportedly paid N30M for the deal . She disclosed    Yes, I’m the new face of Vita500 energy drink. We recently concluded all contractual agreements and both parties are very happy with the deal. I’m not denying the fact that I was handsomely paid, but the amount is what I cannot disclose, it’s personal. My job for them as an ambassador, is to basically use my face and goodwill to help promote the brand in Nigeria and other West African countries.     Afro- Australian movie Gossip nation is set to premiere in Nigerian cinemas . The movie starring Glo Ambassador Monalisa Chinda and former president of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ejike Asiegbu, will hits Nigerian cinemas come 28 October,2011.     Gossip Nation was filmed on locations in Australia and was premiered in major Aussie cities like Melbourne , Canberra and Bankstown .It was also the first Afro-Australian movie to premier in Hoyts cinema(A major Australian cinema)      Described by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) as one of the best Nigerian movies ever reviewed by the board, Gossip Nation, within the short time of its release, has also bagged four nominations at the Afro-Australian Music and Video Awards billed for Australia this year.  Gossip nation is written and produced by Daniel Okoduwa and directed by Mike Kang     Gossip Nation Trailer

                                        Del York International in collaboration with New York Film Academy held its gala Night last weekend at the Muson center ,Lagos to Mark the end of the four-week film training. Nollywood stars like genevieve Nnaji, Monalisa chinda, stephanie Okereke were present and they paid tribute to nollywood veteran ,late sam loco efe that passed away on august 7 in Owerri,imo state.         In an emotion-laden tribute, star  actress, Genevieve Nnaji described Sam Loco as “a versatile actor who could play any role.”      Genevieve who broke down in tears said, “Loco’s death was a great loss not only to the entertainment industry but also, to the entire nation.” She spoke in such a manner that also evoked tears from the audience.       Actress Monalisa Chinda described Sam Loco as the veteran actor they all looked up to in the industry.
