Legendary Singer ,Onyeka Onwenu Holds Night of songs For Late Mum

      Today friday january 6,2011 , Legendary singer  Onyeka onwenu will hold night of songs for her late mother dame hope onwenu who passed away few months ago .        The event which is tagged Night of Tributes and songs in honour of our beloved Matriach  is billed to hold at her owned unity centre ,GRA,ikeja ,Lagos .The red carpet event will be graced by Nigerian female singers like Omawunmi, kenny st brown, yinka davies ,stella monye and others. Comedians gbenga adeyinka ,kofi and lepacious bose are also billed to perform. “ It will be a night of excellent entertainment in every way. People will enjoy good music in a refreshing atmosphere. It will be a fantastic evening.      Legenday singer, Onyeka Onwenu is not happy at the moment as she just lost her mother ,Madam Hope onwenu who would have turned 93 years old in January ,2012.  Madam hope who is a community leader and former choirmaster of the Lagos Anglican church passed away on october 22  in Anambra state Burial Arrangements is yet to be announced!!! Defamation of Character;Tony Okoroji Sues Onyeka Onwenu for N200M

    Legendary Musician , Onyeka Onwenu  accused  Copyright society of Nigeria (COSON) boss  Tony Okoroji   of pocketing   N3Million cross river state government donated for Christy Essien Igbokwe's burial .Now Tony Okoroji is suing her for defamation of character .    Tony Okoroji, who served alongside Onyeka Onwenu on the Christy Essien-Igbowe Burial Committee headed by Austin Izagbo, is asking for N200m, within two weeks, for a damaging article which the singer published in one of the national dailies last week as regards the N3m.     In a letter dated October 17, written on behalf of Tony Okoroji by Justin Ige of Seun Omotoba Law Chambers, made available to National Mirror, Okoroji is also demanding a full page apology published in five national dailies in addition to the said sum, as compensation for the embarrassment the article caused him.     Portions of the letter read: The attention of our client has been drawn to an e-mail titled: A Letter to Tony Okoroji: Where is t
