    Singer Duncan Mighty was arrested this morning in Owerri, Imo state. According to the state police command, the singer was arrested for breaching of contract. It was made known that Duncan Mighty signed a management contract with the Imo state Government under Rochas Okorocha and was paid N11M. The contract was for the artiste to manage few upcoming artistes in the state but he didn't fulfl his own part of the bargain.

    Bill Cosby lost his bid to overturn his sexual assault conviction Tuesday, as an appeals court upheld the verdict in the first celebrity trial of the #MeToo era.     In its ruling, the Superior Court upheld the right of prosecutors to call other accusers to bolster their case — the same issue that was fought over in pretrial hearings before movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s sexual assault trial.    “This decision is a reminder that no one is above the law,” Andrea Constand, the victim in Cosby's case, told The Associated Press on Tuesday. Cosby’s lawyers in his appeal said the suburban Philadelphia judge had improperly allowed the five women to testify at last year’s retrial although he’d let just one woman testify at the first trial in 2017.

  Hip-hop star Juice WRLD died early Sunday morning, after suffering a medical emergency in the private jet section/terminal Chicago's Midway Airport, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.     The tragedy took place just six days after his 21st birthday.    "The Medical Examiner's Office has been notified of the death of Jarad A. Higgins, a 21-year-old black male of the 18500 block of Pierce Terrace in Homewood Illinois," Natalia Derevyanny, spokeswoman for the Cook Co.    The statement did not reveal a cause of death, saying an autopsy had not yet been performed, but TMZ  and Billboard have both reported that the rapper suffered a seizure at the airport and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the emergency room at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn around 2 a.m.

   Miss South Africa was crowned Miss Universe on Sunday in Atlanta after a lavish ceremony filled with glitter and heartfelt speeches about female empowerment.     Zozibini Tunzi, 26, finished first ahead of the Puerto Rican and Mexican finalists in a flashy televised event, hosted by American comic turned TV personality Steve Harvey. Television personalities Vanessa Lachey and Olivia Culpo served as backstage commentators, and a panel of seven women determined the winner.     Tunzi earned cheers during her closing speech, a new segment of the competition, in which she talked about wanting to empower young women to feel confident. "I grew up in a world where a woman who looks like me, with my kind of skin and my kind of hair, was never considered to be beautiful," she said.
