Fela’s Kalakuta Republic To Be Converted to Museum

        Afrobeat Legend fela anikulapo kuti 's kalakuta republic at ikeja,lagos is being reported to be converted to museum. The ulta modern project has been approved by the Lagos State Government .           After Completion the building will have an exhibition area, a coffee shop, a 5-room boutique hotel, a roof-top restaurant, a bar and stage, a souvenir shop, a passenger lift, the tomb area and the car park.       The museum will  possess the preservation of the history of fela, promotion of tourism in line with the Lagos State’s Mega City initiative, acquisitions, display and preservation of the artifacts and many other things.       The Museum is supported by the Lagos State Government and scheduled for opening in October 2012 in time for ‘Felabration.

Seun Kuti :We Must Not Accept the Removal of Fuel Subsidy

Seun at the OccupyNigeria fuel subsidy  protest today    Seun Kuti , Afrobeat Musician and the Youngest Son of the Afrobeat Legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti has shared his own opinion on the recent removal of fuel subsidy.He said in a statement released .  We must not accept the removal of  fuel subsidy. This is the point when we choose to either control our future or allow the most selfish and evil people ruin our children’s future. Writer slams beyonce for celebrating Fela in photoshoot, calls him Abusive

   Beyonce recently recently made a photo shoot for L'Officiel paris .The singer has been slammed for paying tribute to African icon  Fela Anikulapo Kuti through the shoot because of the late fela's misogyny against women.
