U.S National tour of Fela! starts, Cast and tour dates announced

     Complete casting has been announced for the national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Fela!, which will feature original Tony-nominated star Sahr Ngaujah and members of the original Broadway and London casts.

  Adesola Osakalumi will play the role of Sahr Ngaujah, in a principal cast that also features Melanie Marshall (Funmilayo), Paulette Ivory (Sandra), Rasaan-Elijah "Talu" Green (Djembe-'Mustafa'), Ismael Kouyaté (Ismael) and Gelan Lambert (J.K. /Tap Dancer/Egungun).

       The supporting cast  is including Sherinne Kayra Anderson, Jonathan Andre, Cindy Belliot, Nandi Bhebhe, Catia Mota Da Cruz, Nicole Chantal De Weever, Jacqui Dubois, Poundo "Sweet" Gomis, Wanjiru Kamuyu, Thierry Picaut, Oneika Phillips, Jermaine Rowe, Daniel Soto, Adé Chiké Torbert, Jill Marie Vallery, Iris Wilson and Aimee Graham Wodobode.

     U.S. National  tour will be launched in Washington, DC from September 13 to October 09,2011 at Sidney Harman hall.

Fela!  tour continues in Atlanta, GA  from October 11 to October 16  at the Atlanta Civic Center ,

New Haven, CT  ----- Oct. 20 to Oct 23  at the Shubert Theatre 

Toronto, ON (Canada) --- Oct. 25 to Nov. 6 at the Canon Theatre 

San Francisco, CA ----- Nov. 15-Dec. 11 at the Curran Theatre 

Detroit, MI ----- Feb. 14 to March 4, 2012 at Music Hall 

Philadelphia, PA -------March 20-25, 2012, at the Kimmel Center

 Los Angeles, CA -----April 25-June 3, 2012, at the Ahmanson Theatre

 Fela!got 11 Tony awards Nominations last year  including Best Musical and Best actor.
