    Haitan actor and model   Jimmy Jean-Louis of the Phatz Girls , Sinking Sands fame has been announced as the  main host of the 2012 African movie academy awards ( AMAA).      The 44 year-old thespian who recently received achievement award at the 20th edition of PAN African film festival is  best known for his role as The Haitian on the NBC television series Heroes.    AMAA Awards nomination night where the nominees will be announced will  hold   in Banjul, Gambia on Saturday March 17, 2012. African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) received 328 entries from filmmakers across Africa , 88 short films, 57 documentaries, 43 entries from Africans in Diaspora, 6 animations and 134 features films.  The Main Award ceremony will hold April 22,2012.

                                          David Oyelowo,Van Vicker and Jimmy Jean Louis       Nigerian-British actor David Oyelowo ,Nollywood-Ghallywood actor Van vicker and Haitan actor Jimmy Jean Louis will receive achievement awards at the 20th edition of PAN African Film Festival in Los Angeles.  The event will take place on friday ,February 10,2012 at the Rave Cinemas Baldwin Hills,Baldwin hills Crenshaw Plaza , Los Angeles .     David Oyelowo whose movie credits include Boxoffice hit The Help,The rise of the planet of the apes and recently released Red Tails (also starred American singer Neyo) will receive Canada Lee Rising star Actor award, Van vicker who is referred to as one of africa's hottest movie stars will receive ' The Africa Channel creative achievement Award ', while Jimmy Jean Louis will receive The Africa channel Diasporan Award. ...
