Recently, Ghanaian Actor, John Dumelo took to his Instagram to share a picture of a lady’s hand with the caption; “She said yes”. The whole social media went haywire after the post as everyone thought John has finally gotten hitched, and he’d be getting married soon, but it turns out no. True story is that it was the actor's best friend, Fred Nuamah (Chief Executive of Ghana Movie Awards) who proposed to his girlfriend of many years, Martekor, on a plane. They were aboard on a flight to Liberia to attend the inauguration ceremony of President elect, George Weah. Therefore, Dumelo actually took the credit of his friend’s proposal to his girlfriend with the post.

The actor who launched his J melo jewellery line last december is currently filming the show entitled J Melo reality show  .      The show is featuring  dumelo himself ,though ,he is yet to disclose what the show will look like .      Ghanaian star actor  and businessman ,John Dumelo disclosed last month that his jewellery lines will be launched soon. Now he has picked a date for the launching of his brand J'Mel o which will include Jewellery, clothing and hair lines.   The jewellery line will include a world class brand of  18 carat gold chains,bracelets,anklets and pendants .The launching will take place at the Golden Tulip Hotel Accra, Ghana on december 27,2011 . Many of his colleagues have been confirmed to be in attendance .

      Top African actors, John Dumelo and Mercy John will join a host of celebs as special guests at the 3rd edition of the Afro Australian Music And Movie Awards (AAMMA) scheduled to take place in  Sydney, Australia on October 15.    The award ceremony which takes place at the Enmore Theatre, Newtown Sydney will also see appearances from Pascal Atuma, Awilo Longomba, NSW Opposition Leader MP John Robertson, Nigerian High Commissioner, Ayo Olukanni,= and  Desmond Elliot     The AAMMA which is the only African award event in Australia and New Zealand was created in 2007 by Daniel Okoduwa.This award event celebrates, appreciates and encourages talents within and outside the African community of Australia, the African continent and Diaspora; ‘Friends of Africa’ are also appreciated.
