Last week, the internet went wild when the new broke out that multi-award winning actress, Funke Akindele-Bello had been revealed as one of the cast in the upcoming Hollywood superhero film “Avengers: Infinity War”. It was later communicated that Funke was never contacted by the movie makers and therefore never casted in the movie It has come to my knowledge that the movie website was hacked and the person inserted Funke'name and also her "Black panthers guard" role in the movie. The movie makers rectified the problem yesterday and removed her name, hence you cannot find it again on the cast list.

Seems the rumor of Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele casting in the upcoming Hollywood film "avengers" is true Funke played the role of a Dora Milaje member in the film directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. In the list of the cast, she is named as No. 70. The Nigerian actress plays as  a member of the Black Panther’s guards, the ‘Dora Milaje’ – who are a team of women who serve as the personal bodyguards of the Black Panther. The film is set for release 25 April in the Netherlands. The movie tells the story of how the Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. Funke Akindele was born on August 24, 1976 in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria as Akindele Olufunke Ayotunde. She is  known for  the popular Jenifa Diary , Agbefo (2006) and 13th Day: Ojó ketàlá (2005) and now she will add Avengers: Infinity War (2018) to her accolades.

Funke Akindele was included on the cast list of 2018 movie, "Avengers: Infinity War". It seems the  Nollywood actress will feature in the Marvel Comics  movie.The actress is yet to confirm this rumor. If the report concerning the actress' involvement is true, it will be the first time a Nigerian-born actor will appear in a Hollywood superhero movie. The movie,Avengers Infinity War which will feature the likes of Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson and some Hollywood top actors. also going to be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, has been set for a May 4, 2018, release.
