Cissy Houston pays tribute to daighter whitney houston at the BET Awards          Late Whitney Houston was remembered Sunday night with a tribute at the BET Awards. Cissy Houston's tribute to her late daughter was the emotional highlight of the ceremony      Mariah Carey introduced the segment by noting the perceived rivalry between the two singers, who collaborated on "When You Believe," their Oscar-winning song from the 1998 animated film The Prince of Egypt.     " We got to spend a lot of time together as we promoted it, and we really got to know each other as people, not divas," she said, noting that Houston was "a hilarious person, with a cutting sense of humor. She was real and kept it real, and that's why we got along so well. Sarkodie and wizkid at the BET Awards Pre -Event       Wizkid and Sarkodie have been given the BET Awards 'Best International Act africa . The two were given joint award at the ceremony which held last night (July 1)at the shrine auditorium in Los Angeles .They defeated  iceprince, lira, mokobe,and camp mulla .     Kanye West and Jay-Z won the award's top prize, earning video of the year for "Otis." and  best group.     Beyonce won video director of the year (along with Alan Ferguson) and best female R&B artist . Cissy Houston and whitney houston        The Late Whitney Houston 's mother , Cissy Houston will perform a tribute to honour daughter at the 2012 BET Awards .       Cissy was recently added to the list of performers of the award to be hosted by samuel L. Jackson on july 1,2012 and will be joined on stage by many top female singers .      MMG leader Rick Ross and his artists Meek Mill and wale ,Kanye west's G.O.O.D Music, D'angelo have also been  added to previously announced performers .  The  BET Awards  airs live from The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. 

      R&B Superstar Usher raymond ,rappers Big sean and 2 chainz have been announced as 2012 BET Awards Performers. The stars are joining previously announced Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj.   2012 BET Awards will hold July 1,2012 at shrine auditorium in Los Angeles,hosted by Samuel L.Jackson .  Nigerian artists Ice Prince and Wizkid got nominated in the Best African Act Category .
