Fred Amata   A judge has ordered veteran nollywood actor-director Fred Amata to pay his rent arrears He was ordered by a Surulere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on wednesday to pay one year rent arrears amounting to N600,000.      The landlord Pa I. Fadoyebo had earlier dragged Amata to court to help him regain possession of  his house from the actor.  Fadoyebo claimed  Amata was owing arrears of rent on the four-bedroom bungalow he was occupying at No 8, Razaq Balogun St., Surulere, adding that the rent had accumulated from October 2009 to September 2010.        Judge Magistrate Mukaila Fadeyi ordered Amata who was not present throughout the court proceedings to pay the arrears within 14 days .      Fadeyi faulted the tenancy agreement signed between both parties, saying it was not dated while the seven-day quit notice was not served on Amata. Fadoyebo had on Feb. 7 testified that Amata was a bad tenant who brought all manners of people into his compound.

      Nollywood has lost one of its veteran actor david ihezie .The Enugu State based actor, died in his home yesterday after a brief  illness. Ofiafulugu Mbaka,    Chairman of Enugu State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has confirmed the death of the actor.     Ihezie had starred in many movies like 'king of the forest'  and he was most popular for acting as a chief in Village movies alongside veterans like olu jacobs, peter edochie,larry koldsweat,chiwetalu agu and many more. May his soul Rest in peace !!!

        Nollywood actor, Ayo badmus  accompanied by his wife and his young brother went to pay ace- cinematographer, Tunde Kelani and family a visit during the Salah holidays at tunde's house located at   Feyinde Kalisto, Oshodi around 7.30 pm.  when the unexpected happened.  He was beaten black and blue by a group of hoodlums suspected to be political thugs at Oshodi area of Lagos.      A Benin-based Nollywood actor, Mr. Daniel Iyamu , has been allegedly killed in his sleep by his wife in Ugbihoko quarters, Egor North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.        Source gathered  that the remains of the late Iyamu were found on his bed by his neighbours, who forced his door open following cries from his children that their father was yet to get out of bed at  10am. It was also gathered that the late artiste was said to have sustained injuries on his head, which suggested that he might have been hit on the head while asleep.
