Nigerian Idol season II launches

Yeka onka-season I winner     The season II of Nigerian Idol has been officially launched after a successful season I which produced Nigerian Idol, Yeka Onka.     Season II is produced by the Optima Media Group (OMG) and Rapid blue format. New host, singer Tiwa Savage and VJ Ill Rhymz would anchor the show.      The season kicks off on October 7, with auditions in four cities-Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Lagos. The show begins airing on December 4, and the grand gala would be on April 1, 2012.    The winner of the show takes home prizes valued at USD 100,000 in management contract, recording contract and prize money. The first runner up gets N1.5m, the second runner up will receive N1m. Finalists from 4th to 10th place also receive each N100,000
