Alicia Keys is ready To adopt a Child From Africa

Alicia Keys has proven she has a heart as big as her musical talent. Her Keep A Child Alive Foundation has been doing charity work in Africa since 2002. Helping families who can't afford adequate medical supplies and providing valuable AIDS awareness education.




The charity has helped over 250,000 of Africa’s young people affected by Aids.

The 29 year old singer is also expecting her first child with producer/rapper Swizz Beatz.

“I can’t wait to become a mom. No question. It’s the most beautiful gift in the world. Truly a gift from God," she said in an interview.

Being pregnant has renewed her interest in adopting a child from Africa.

“Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me. I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa. Hopefully I can be their big sister who they know they can depend on and will always be there, fighting for them.”
