Shakira named Harvard foundation's 2011 artiste of the year

      
     The popular colombian pop singer 'shakira"will receive harvard's foundation most prestigous medal in recognition of her music and charity work at the annual Cultural rythms festival which will be held at Harvard university,cambridge, massachauset  on 26th February,2011.

       Shakira had been chosen to receive the accolade this year because of her musical contributions to culture and her work helping children in impoverished areas such as Haiti ,said the foundation's director
