Wyclef Jean To Teach At Ivy League University

Wyclef Jean has accepted an appointment at Rhode Island's Brown University as a visiting fellow in its Department of Africana Studies.
The former member of The Fugees will work at the Ivy League school during the 2010-2011 academic year and will facilitate activities related to its Haiti Initiative; including lectures, faculty conversations and classes.
The 40-year-old rapper/singer made his first visit to Brown's campus on Monday and attended two inaugural lecturers.
Jean has declared that his stint at Brown University will be "a period of learning and reflection."
The Haitian-born, New Jersey-raised artist attempted to run for president of Haiti earlier this year, but was ultimately excluded because he didn't meet the country's constitutional requirements such as living in Haiti.
On the music front, Jean just released a new single 'Another Good Day' from his forthcoming EP, 'How the West Was Won.
