5 Fashion fads we never thought would be fashionable

1.UGG boots
Who would have thought that one day we’d be spending a little over a £100 and wearing UGG boots as a fashion item? UGG boots were initially created to withstand the freezing weather and were much more a part of a surfers wardrobe used to keep their feet warm after existing the surf. They are flat heeled, tan coloured on the outside and fleeced on the inside, developed in Australia and manufactured with real animal skin they are many people’s winter wardrobe must have.

                                                  2.  Jeggings
A mixture of leggings and jeans, let’s just say when these came out I turned up my nose at it and thought to myself this would never sell but two summers later and at a couple of bucks a piece they were the must have of every fashionable wardrobe. There however seem to be two types of jeggins the ones with the lighter fabric which seem to be made in denim print. Then there are the thicker ones which are much more jeans than legging and can be easily mistaken for skinny jeans

3.Military Boots
These are the latest fashion items and they are really looking up if I must say, they started out as boots designed for soldiers to be worn during training. Their durability and comfort however has now made them popular now making them a definite fashion do. They come in mostly dark colours such as brown or black and in low heels for the comfort queen or with heels for the lady who enjoys a little extra lift

                                             4.Harem pants
Mc Hammer pants / Harem Pants / Parachute Pants call them whatever you want I’m sure when many of us saw Mc Hammer wearing them in the 90’s we were all thinking ‘oh heck no!!!’ but now they are not only on the catwalk but also flying into our wardrobe. They are as comfortable as they look and can be worn as either a casual get up or fashionable. However I would say that when buying a pair make sure you try out as many styles as possible so that you don’t end up with a pair that makes you look like Aladdin’s sister from another generation.

  5.  Mohawk
Okay be honest you have either done the Mohawk or secretly thought of doing it. The Mohawk hairstyle is usually associated with punk rockers and Mr T, but now it has become the in style hairstyle for both men and woman alike. It can be worn in just about any way possible and although it is not easily manipulated it can be worn in various ways and can look attractive from many angles.
