Mtn Project fame goes live from july 12

 Lagos|Nigeria The most popular music talent show in Nigeria is set to hit our screens in just a few days time. As from Monday July 12, millions of music fans across the World will once again gather around their TV sets to watch the third season of MTN Project Fame West Africa.
From the 12th of July, MTN Project Fame will be airing on several TV stations (terrestrial and cable) all over the sub continent. On the said date highlights of the auditions and the semi-finals will be shown on air. The highlights of the auditions will give to the opening gala night which will go on from the 18th of July.
The gala night is when the 15 most promising individuals will be introduced to the public and ushered into the performance academy where they will be taught the basics of the performing arts by the industry’s top professionals.


The public will have the fine opportunity of watching the contestants grow into performing artistes and good song writers daily. This feature re-instates the fact that Project Fame is not the regular run-of-the-mill talent show where wannabes are placed on air just for entertainment sake but a training ground where raw talents are moulded into young and bright stars.
Running for the course of three months, MTN Project Fame West Africa is set to thrill fans and viewers alike with endless performances from the contestants as well as on- and- off tantrums displays by the hopefuls while in the academy and their nerve-wracking emotions when they are put on for eviction or eventually sent home.
Since its debut in 2008, MTN Project Fame West Africa has embedded itself in Nigeria’s socio-cultural lifestyle. With an amazing TV audience and a cross- genre music content PFWA is arguably Nigeria’s most watched entertainment show on TV. Millions of texts are sent in daily from viewers who vote for their favourite contestant and wish them well. Everyone cant stop watching and waiting wishing their favorite acts will thrive
With this being its third season, the franchise show is stepping it up several notches higher. The winner of this year’s PF will be going home with N2.5M, a brand new Toyota RAV4 and a recording contract. The 1st runner up is set to win home with N1.5M and a Toyota Corolla while the 2nd runner up will win N1M and a Toyota Yaris. The 3rd runner up will end up with N1m.
It would be recalled that in 2008, Iyanya became the first winner of MTN Project Fame while in 2009; Mike Anyasodo won the second edition. Both talented singers are now experiencing success within their music careers after releasing well acclaimed singles that have stood them out from the crowd.
