Rihanna's first public performance in six months

Rihanna is to perform in public for the first time since being attacked by chris brown six months ago.The Umbrella singer will appear on the 'The Jay Leno show'on Sept 14 alongside hip-hop stars Kanye west and jay-z.The trio are expected to perform their new single "Run This Town".Tom cruise is also in negatiations to appear on the programme.Rihanna has kept a low-profile since she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Brown in February.He pleaded guilty to the attack in June and was sentenced to five years'probation,180 days of community service and ordered to attend an anti-domestic violence programme.
