MO HITS ALL STARS

This is a group i adore so much cos they have made it happen in nigerian music industry dropping one hit after the other.i m just dedicating today's post to them.They are six including their Producer Don jazzy

D BANJ;;Born dapo daniel Oyebanjo on 9th June 1980 ,of course he is my Bday mate,attended command secondary school in lagos ,after which he attended lagos state university briefly studying mechanical Engineering before he travelled to london in 2002 .He joined JJC and 419 squad then and meet don jazzy who is their producer then,In 2004,Don jazzy started his record label "MO HITS RECORDS".D banj has three album to his credit now including CV album they did together.

And he has collected so many awards which includes the MTV European Music Award in Munich Germany in 2007.I Guess all of us knows that the dude is hot.

Wande coal;
Born
Wande Ojosipe on the 18th of October 1985, 1st child in a family of 2 children Wande like most great musicians started singing in the teenage choir at his church. he got his break in the Nigerian entertainment industry as a dancer. He continued improving his vocal skill and got signed to Don jazzy’s Mo’ Hits records in 2006. He featured on D’banj’s Rundown/Funk You up album on singles like; Loke, tonosibe and why me.His album M2M(Mushin 2 Mohits)has really shown his ability and Talent.

Dr sid;

SID was born Sidney Onoriode Esiri on the 1st of May 1980, into an entertainment family. His mother a successful fashion designer and his father the legendary actor Justus Esiri famous for his role as the Village Headmaster. The second child of 4 children from an early age he had his heart set on becoming an entertainer. However his life took a different course graduating from the Nigerian Air force Secondary school, SID went on to the University Of Ibadan (UI) to study Dental Surgery. During his school years his flair for entertainment could not be hidden as he took part in school plays, dance competitions and concerts wining numerous awards along the way. His break finally came in 1999 when he signed on to a fresh new record label Trybe Records (who released the legendary hip hop group Trybesmen) as a choreographer. It took 3 years for SID to get his chance in front of the mic, when he was made a member of Da Trybe, and given a spot on the song that caused a revolution in Nigerian Hip-hop "OYA" in 2002 alongside Sasha, 2-Shotz, Timi, DEL, and the Trybesmen (Eldee, Kb and Freestyle). Over the next year SID recorded his Debut Single "Don't Stop" and had the number 1 video on the MBI top ten for 8 weeks. His music career had to be put on hold as he had to take a year out to finish up his university degree. In May 2004 SID became a qualified Dentist. He to moved to the UK working with the likes of JJC & the 419 squad, Felix Duke, KAS, R70 music group and a then Unknown D'Banj.This Dude will release his album before the year runs out,he already has singles on air like" winchi winchi" ft wande coal , and "say something".

K.SWITCH;


Kay switch born kehinde oladotun oyebanjo, to a family of six on the 12th of February 1985, also a sibbling to d’banj, the kokomaster.presently in kwame Nkrumah university of science and technology in Ghana undergoing a program in bsc computer science.Kay switch started rapping in year 1999 and had a couple features on singles and performed wit now popular artiste he became a full fledged member of mo hits records in 2004 after the successive hits of the respected record label.Since then kay switch has performed alongside d’banj, don jazzy, wande coal, ikechwuku, the prince, dr sid, nice, tu face, and also featured in number one selling albums like the entertainer, curriculum vitae album.

Kay switch is set to finish his four year program in computer science in a year time, when his solo album would be recorded, but until then kay switch is recording a mixtape, which is said to be released before the end of the year

D Prince;


D'prince, Born Charles Enebeli in the city of lagos, to Mr Collins Enebeli, a Business man and a musical production manager with his own label known as sagitarious productions and Mrs patience Enebeli an international Business tycoon..music has always being in the family..so he is no stranger to the music business..D'prince is the last child from a family of four children in which Don Jazzy is the 1st.


He attended Kings College Lagos for his secondary level education and then decided to follow his passion in music. Having a strong, musical blood flowing through his veins it wasnt too long before the music came calling, at that time Don jazzy was also ready to embark on D'banjs project in the UK, after he was done with the album he needed to come bk home to Nigeria for promotion of the album and to establish his record Label. D'Prince was asked to be a part of the movement, and that was my golden moment in being officially signed to mohits records.

I am happy that this great musical group is having a show in london today at 02 Arena .Its going to be fun
