From Nothing to Something

Yeah it will always be true that real definition of your success is that you will be a suspect, that means you have move from nothing to something, just extracted this from Rick Ross's latest song ft Nas ,dont mind me ,but i m trying to attach this to the tremendous change in our music industry since the era of chukwudifu oputa(Charly boy).as the PMAN president. He enhanced the coming down of international artiste, the likes of usher,50 cent, shaggy, busta rhymes, beyonce, jay z,to name a few. This has really improve our status in the worldwide scene of entertainment.we can now see our own artiste collaborating with international act without too much stress,Charly boy really tried to revoloutionize this industry and i think he should always be honored for that ,i could remember when wyclef came here in Aug 2003,he said he is very happy to be Nigeria for the first time and we could remember he did a song "i am so proud to be africa"with tuface, soundsultan, and faze, which was a success.
charly boy

We are really representing in international scene now as tuface was the first african to win MTV European music award that was held in lisbon portugal 2005,D banj also clinched the same award in munich, germany in 2006.These has been a very good thing happening to our industry. Our artistes are now been seeen in flashy cars which was not so in this industry of ten years ago.
So we have really moved from nothing to something, I know we will get there and soon ,one artiste will go and bring our first Grammy home ,God bless naija.

  2. I agree that the entertainment industry and the music industry to be exact has made some significant progress.

"Our artistes are now been seeen in flashy cars which was not so in this industry of ten years ago."

I totally disagree with that statement and ideology, with all due respect. Our musicians/performers should be measured by the worth of their work and performances, which yields rewards that allows them to afford such luxuries as cars, houses, state of the art studios etc, and not by these luxuries.

Our yahoo boys/419ners/corrupt politicians do enjoy these luxuries but we do not praise them, so please let's no degrade our artists and lower their worth and work by measuring their achievements based on their wealth.

    Thank you!
