‘Red Princess’ of Spain is first royal to die of Coronavirus

Princess Maria Teresa of Bourbon-Parma, the cousin of Spain’s King Felipe IV, has become the first royal to die of the novel coronavirus.
Her death was announced earlier this week by her brother, Prince Sixto Enrique de Borbón, the Duke of Aranjuez.  She was known as the “Red Princess" for her outspoken progressive views and activism.
On Friday, a mass was organized in Madrid in honor of the late princess, who was a professor at Paris’ Sorbonne and Madrid’s Complutense University.
