  Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations for the 2019 Grammy Awards. The Compton rapper earns eight nominations at the 61st annual ceremony, including Album of the Year for the Black Panther soundtrack.

       “All the Stars” is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Performance, and Best Song Written for Visual Media. Lamar is also nominated for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “King’s Dead” alongside Jay Rock, Future, and James Blake. He earned an additional nod for Best Rap Song for co-writing Jay Rock’s “Win.” Drake follows with seven nominations including Album of the Year for Scorpion and Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “God’s Plan.”
