Rapper DMX Back to Jail After failing Drug Tests

On July 2017, he was arrested and charged with 14 counts of tax evasion. While awaiting sentencing in March for not paying $1.7 million in federal taxes, Earl Simmons was locked up on Tuesday for failing a drug test.

According to Judge Jed Rakoff, DMX failed to bring along a court- ordered “mobile drug counselor” when he went to St. Louis to perform on Jan. 20. He tested positive for cocaine, and opiates including oxycodone which is a violation of his probation.
