Mikel Obi To Launch Foundation for Less Privileged On Friday

  Chelsea FC star and Nigerian Midfielder John Mikel Obi will launch his foundation 'Mikel Obi Foundation' on friday June 8,2012  . 
   The event is scheduled to  take place at the civic center in lagos
The UEFA champions league winner when talking to newsmen about the foundation said; 
“I want to give back to the society, Nigeria made me and I have always longed to help the poor, especially the Alimajaris. I grew up in Jos and I have seen these people beg for food. I want them to share in my success and I think this is the right time to help out.“The Foundation is not a short term project; it is a long term thing. I will set up a financial strategy to ensure the success of this project. Ex internationals that are in penury are also going to benefit from this project.”

     The Governor of Lagos state Babatunde raji fashola is expected to be the special Guest of Honour at the event.
